We were tasked with developing a creative concept for Amazon Advertising at Cannes. From the early ideation phase, we contributed visual identity options to help shape the event’s overall look and feel.
The Concept One: The Pop Heart event identity builds with colorful forms that dance over a deep field of squid-ink blue. Here we use the mix of Amazon Advertising and affiliate brand colors to create a feeling of Mediterranean  exuberance that speaks directly to human connection. Simple postmodern shapes are mixed with hand-drawn “passion marks”, inspired by pop and street art. In motion, these forms will let us transition from one story to the next with a personal touch. It is as though these “passion marks” were drawn by the videos’ subjects themselves in a spontaneous, passionate moment that is from the heART.
The Concept: The Block Party event identity embraces the raucous colors of the key brands with simple color blocking that is playful yet accessible to the eye.
Portraits of customers, pets and products captured in unguarded yet active moments speak to a joyful community. Geometric lines inspired by European train maps that bring people closer together are a symbol for the human connections Amazon Advertising provides brands and marketers. As the colors from the key  Amazon Advertising brands converge like confetti, we all feel closer now, like neighbors - let’s have a Block Party!
